Right now everything seems to be polarized around one man Mr. Narendra Modi. This is good and bad both. Good in the sense that one man has strategically and publicly made the party stronger and is a known and reputed face known for development. At the other hand he does not have any back up or deputy who shares the same repo or can pull the crowd like him. Narendra Modi's agenda of this election is development and it is not possible for just one man to develop the whole contry. There are number of allies with BJP from all across the country but the existing senior leaders of the party deserves the respect which they have been getting from last number of years.
The mess going around the selection of constituencies by senior leaders has brought a lot of public shame and distrust within the party and outside. Either this should have been done peacefully without media disclosure or things should have been managed very well so that mess should not have been created. India is a country where families are well connected and parents and other elders are given the respect they look for and if they are not treated well the whole family looses the respect. BJP is a party for family oriented middle class people and these families expect a similar behavior from the saffron party. This kind of behavior by BJP might have reduced some voters which were eagerly looking to vote for Modi.
Everybody in BJP and outside the BJP has assumed that BJP is going to win big time and every single member, no matter senior or junior is looking for their share of credit. Senior leaders have done a lot in the past to establish a brand which is known as BJP. Rather than "Modi Sarkar" the slogan should have been "BJP Sarkar". This would have given more respect to Modi as it would have given better feeling to every individual that the goverment belongs to BJP not to Modi and Modi is a part of BJP itself.
This kind of politics is possible for Gandhis but not for Modi. Gandhis have been ruling this country from last 60 years and not only Gandhis but people of India believe that it is their birth right to rule the country no matter how. In India people are happy to see the same family ruling the country again and agian but will
not be happy to see any body amoung themselves doing the same job. They would rather like to support the big and mighty rather than supporting somebody who is like them or amoung them. Party is widespeared and has different mindset and behaviour at different location and occassion and can pull the support like wise but
polarization around one single personality can work for Gandhis but not for Modi.
