Watery Watermelon!!!!

As summers are here Watermelons are available .These thirst -quenching melons are the great source of much needed water and electrolytes to beat the tropical summer temperatures. The natural sweetness of watermelon makes it  perfect for  salad, salsa, or cool drink.  Chunks of sweet watermelon can also be used  with fruit flavored sherbets or sorbets. Always choose firm, symmetrical, fruit free of cracks, bruises, soft spots or mold. There should be a melon like smell or fragrance. Avoid watermelons that are very hard, white or very pale green in color on the underside, indicating immaturity. An immature watermelon will be slightly acidic.
Below are the ingredients and recipe for making watermelon salad.




Watermelon Fruit Salad
•  1/2 cup Pineapple (cubed)
•  1/2 cup Watermelon pieces
•  1/2 cup Melon (cubed)
•  1/2 cup pitted Cherries
•  1/2 cup apple(cubed)
•  1/2 cup Strawberries (cubes)
•  1 banana cut in rounds
•  1/2 cup seedless grapes
•  1 Mango (cubed)
•  1/2 cup Papaya (cubed)
•  100 gms fresh whipping cream
•  sugar to taste
•  salt to taste
•  1/2 tsp black pepper pd.
•  2 tsp Lemon juice




Directions
•  Mix all the fruits in a bowl. Add sugar, salt, pepper & lemon juice. Toss it well
•  Whip cream in a bowl till it becomes frothy & thick.
•  Add cream to the fruits & mix it well.
•  Keep it in refrigerator.
•  Serve chilled salad in the empty watermelon outer part
