The 20th International men’s football tournament is about to begin in the beautiful cities of Brazil with huge excitement, stress, and joy. The country is all set with its 12 host cities that will conduct matches starting from 12 June to 13 July 2014. 64 matches are to be played across Brazil in total and will be scheduled in either the new or the redeveloped stadiums. The tournament will begin with a group stage and will proceed to the quarter finals, semi-finals, and then the Finale. It will be a celebration environment on the streets of Brazil as the country is holding such a big event for the first time.





The much-awaited sports tournament is about to begin and football fans can book their tickets at www.FIFA.com/tickets starting from 15th April 2014 at 12:00 CET / 07:00 Brasilia time. The tickets booked through the online portal will be advanced ones, hence, you can choose your desired seating in the stadium. Visa will be the official payment partner for 2014 FIFA World Cup and fans with no online transaction option can visit the FIFA Venue Ticketing Centers (list of Ticket Collection Location page) for getting their dream seat in the stadiums. Tickets will be available at FIFA Venue Ticketing Centers from 1st June 2014 and can be bought using a PIN-enabled payment card or paid in cash.

Following are some of the basic rules of the game:
• The game needs to be fair on the terms of time, the laws of the game, and regulations laid by the International Football Association Board

• Each match should have a 90-minute play time, consisting of two 45 minute periods, and an additional half-time interval of 15 minutes

• In any kind of fuss, discrepancy, and confusion, the English version of the laws of the game will be immediately brought into action and will be applied on both the teams

• An extra time with two periods of 15-minutes each will be played as a result of draw of the actual playtime result, starting at the interval of 5 minutes after the end of normal playtime

• If the score remains same after playing two periods of extra-time, then penalty kicks will be taken into consideration to decide the winner of the game

• The referees, fourth officials, and assistant referees will be decided by the FIFA Referees Committee, for both preliminary and final matches

• If the Referee is found to be prevented from his duties and fair decisions, such referee will be immediately replaced by the fourth official

• Players, officials, and referees are bound to respect the correct spirit and engage in activities that brings out a fair play

• All the associated personnel are recommended to refrain from the doping practices as described in the FIFA Anti-Doping Regulations
