Maleficent will be hitting the UK theaters on May 28, 2014 and is up for US release on May 30, 2014 in Disney Digital 3D, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D formats. Based on the childhood fairytale –Sleeping beauty, the film is expected to deliver much more than just a fairytale experience to its viewers. Often referred as re-imagining of Walt Disney's 1959 Sleeping Beauty, the film will bring out the evil character as the lead role in the plot. Directed by Robert Stromberg, the 2014 dark fantasy adventure film has got its screenplay written by Linda Woolverton.
Starring Angelina Jolie as the Disney Villainess character (Maleficent), the film also features Ella Purnell, Elle Fanning, Sharlto Copley, Sam Riley, Brenton Thwaites, and many other Hollywood starts as the main cast. Maleficent then decides to ensure that her fairy wings will not be good anymore and the king will have to suffer the same fate.
