FIFA 2014: Day 2, Mexico, Netherlands and Chile Enjoys The Winning Taste

The utmost excitement and cheerful environment is growing towards its highest peak as the world’s most entertaining sports tournament has just started. Day 2 holds three matches in all, including Mexico Vs Cameroon, Spain Vs Netherlands, and Chile Vs Australia. Previews and predictions of the fans get broken, when Spain lost its victory to the Netherlands with a huge gap on goal fields. Let us catch a glimpse of all the three matches below:


Mexico Vs Cameroon

The first match of the day was set in Estadio das Dunas, Natal and the crowd has experienced some real football as the score remains too good to be chased. Recording a victory in the second match of Group A with 1-0, Mexico has once again proved that experience and dedication is all that you need to win.

Villarreal forward Guillermo Dos Santos and Oribe Peralta were chosen by the team’s coach to attack the opponent’s goals and his strategy proved right, when Peralta scored the only goal in the game for Mexico. Rafael Marquez from Mexico and Samuel Eto'o from Cameroon tried harder to get some goals in the team’s bucket, but didn’t succeed. However, the duo showcased amazing speed, strategy, planning and team cordination.
Volleyed efforts by Javier Hernández could have doubled the final score, but the kind of efforts Peralta has put in to secure his team’s victory in the first half of the game is extremely commendable. Mexico will face-off Brazil in its next match, which will bring a lot more excitement as both the teams have already won their opening matches.






Spain Vs Netherlands

The second match between Spain and Netherlands at Arena Fonte Nova, Salvador, will be written in golden words of the FIFA 2014’s history as the world’s best defenders were beaten up by 5-1. Two each from Robin van Persie and Arjen Robben, and an amazing one from Stefan de Vrij marked the winning moment for the Netherlands in their opening match in this year’s football tournament.
Starting from the one happened in the eighth minute of the game, the Netherland team didn’t allow the Spain players to rest at all. Failing in their team co-ordination and Costa’s awarded penalty, the team didn’t get time to settle itself and rescue from the harsh attacks on their opponents.
The teams were pretty sure about the final results and the fear of losing the very first game was easily spotted on Spainian’s faces. The match could have ended with 4-1, but the Arjen Robben’s final attempt of firing the ball into the empty net in the last 10 minutes of the game changed it to 5-1.
This victory for Netherlands must have brought in a lot more confidence in their ideas to win the World Cup this time, however, the defeat has shattered the defending World Cup and two-time European champions Spain.

Chile Vs Australia

Hosted in Arena Patanal Cuiaba is the last match for the day between Chile and Australia. Although the day for football fans was ending up but the ending match has brought a lot more excitement into their running veins by declaring Chile as the winners. Featuring a total of 11 attempts, Chile’s team scored 3 awesome goals by Jean Beausejour, Alexis Sánchez and Jorge Valdívia, respectively.
Chile’s fast paced runners cum forwards have assured its win by scoring the first two steady goals in the twelfth minute and fourteenth minute. The match gained excitement and pride again, when Chile’s Jean Beausejour offered a wonderful finish to the match by scoring the goal in the last few minutes. Although, Australians featurs paced runners, optimal strategy, and excellent teamwork, but only they’ve got is the goal by Tim Cahill in the first half.Both the teams have performed really well, however, the Chile’s has lived up to their 'dark horses' tag and proved that they won’t play this tournament with ease.

So, the results for the second day is out and that declared the most unpredictable verdict in front of football fans located around the world. The very first beginning of the tournament portrayed that the teams those were considered as underdogs will have a scope of winning the FIFAWorld Cup during 2014.
