Pachmarhi is a place where nature has found exquisite expression in enhancing ways. Green shades embrace the mountains and the gentle murmur of the flowing water makes surroundings lively. Bridle paths leads into tranquil forest glades - groves of wild bamboo and jamun, dense sal forests and delicate thickets.
Pachmarhi is also an archeological treasure house. The cave shelters of Mahadeo Hills are rich in rock paintings by the prehistoric man. Priyadarshini point marks the place from where Pachmarhi was discovered by Captain Forsyth in 1857. It also houses many shrines of Lord Shiva.
