As per the sources, Modi was about to leave for The BRICS summit, which is going to be held in Brazil between July 15 and 17, 2014. Some Glimpses Of Opening Ceremony Of Fifa World Cup 2014

Narendra Modi will be accompanied by Vladimir Putin, the Russian President, Xi Jinping, the Chinese President, and Jacob Zuma, the South African President, if he reaches Rio for watching the finals. All these presidents have schedule to reach before the 2014 BRICS Summit to be held in the seaside city of Fortaleza, so that they can catch the glimpse of this amazing football tournament.

Several official sources also revealed the fact that the Summit was actually scheduled in March 2014, however, it has been postponed because Chinese President wanted to catch up some World Cup action. All the five nations of the BRICS summit including Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, has supported the event with huge honor and pride.

It’s quite disappointing that apart from India, all the BRICS countries have played in the World Cup, while India still stands on the 154 rank on the FIFA list. In India where cricket is the only famous game, Modi promises to foresee Indian football team in the upcoming World cups.
The three BRICS nations have either already hosted or are planning to host World cups in future. South Africa took the pride to host in 2010, Brazil is serving the tournament time, and Russia has already opted to do it in 2018.
Officials said that if Modi will be able to attend the final of the football tournament, it will be a great help for establishing global diplomacy and raise enthusiasm for international relations.

Apart from leaders of BRICS, some other prominent leaders including Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, Prince Albert of Monaco, the Emir of Qatar, and Ban ki-Moon, the UN Secretary-General.
Although, India doesn’t have a team playing in this FIFA 2014 World cup, but the excitement and the chase for the game is as same as it is in the other parts of the globe. As, Brazil will be Modi's third destination abroad as a PM after Bhutan and Japan, some real football fans really want him to attend the finals to represent the multi-cultural country called –INDIA. We really hope that the face of the nation reaches the stadium in Rio de Janeiro on time to enjoy some amazing kick-offs by expert footballers!
